Impelled by a “promotion” rate to re-sign my lease - in December I signed over 90% of my future (currently nonexistent) paycheck to stay in my current apartment complex until July 31, 2013.
However, I’ve obviously decided I do not wish to stay in Boone for an additional year.
Great news: I learned today that my lovely lease doesn’t have an early termination clause. Thus I must pay through my lease (because there’s no way I’ll find a subleaser for MV’s price).
I recognize that this is my own fault..
Yet, I’d like to take a moment to thank North Carolina for not having a standard legal procedure for early termination.
Someone get me out of this state.
